If you are teaching the topic of clothes you can add a cultural dimension to the topic by looking at the clothes worn during Spanish festivals or traditional dress in different regions. I have attached part of a PowerPoint on clothes covering the “traje de pamplonica” – the traditional outfit worn during the festival of San Fermín in Pamplona. There is a bit of an introduction to the festival including a thinking skills slide where students have to try and guess what is going on in the picture. If you want to read up on the different aspects of the festival such as “las peñas”, etc a good website is www.sanfermin.com .
