Another example of a great clip from the BBC Learning Zone site is the one from the REVISTA programme about the Spanish footballer, Raúl González. Although the clip is quite old now, it is still useable in my mind. I am using it obviously in the context of teaching sports and free time. The resources are below. In the PowerPoint I start by getting them to guess what is shown in the picture. I ask questions such as “¿Está en el campo o la ciudad?”, “¿Europa o America del norte?”, etc. The next slides reveal the truth which then segways into talking about Raúl who has played for Real Madrid since 1994.
