I’m trying to focus some lessons on past paper discursive essay titles in order to give some background on the topic area in question. In this collection of resources I am looking at an essay which dealt with law and order with the following title, “Robos … Peleas …… Mendigos agresivos …… Inseguridad … Delincuencia …… Pandillas … Vandalismo …… Botellón … Estas palabras aparecen con frecuencia en los medios de comunicación. La inquietud ciudadana, ¿está exagerada por la prensa o realmente existe un problema muy grave? Justifica tu opinión..” . The aim is clearly to enable students to tackle the essay title but also to look at the growing presence of CCTV and the impact of new forms of crime linked to new technologies.
